On May 22, 2010 we performed a paranormal investigation at Hotel Lenhart in Bemus Point, New York. It turned out to be quite the active investigation! Our investigators experienced everything from being brushed up against by unseen forces, hearing footsteps, unexplained creeking, goosebumps (the “chills”), even capturing some possible EVP’s! Hotel Lenhart has been owned and operated by the same family bloodline ever since the family had it built. The original hotel was built in 1880 but unforunately burned to the ground. The structure that now stands was built the following year. With this year marking the hotels 130th season, it has become the perfect hunting grounds for possible paranormal activity. The New Yorker Hotel (www.NewYorkerHotel.com) journeyed back in time to a 1930s-style celebration to commemorate its 80th birthday. The scene on 34th Street and Eighth Avenue was nothing short of award-night worthy with spotlights on the hotel and a classic 1938 Packard parked in front of the entrance. Inside, guests enjoyed red carpet treatment as they were greeted by models and entertainers dressed in classic, 1930s wardrobe. Once escorted into the hotels Grand Ballroom, Vince Giordano and his Nighthawk Orchestra entertained the crowd with jazz music, while the Crystal Ballroom featured a piano player and cabaret singer. Classic 1930s furniture outfitted the hotel for the event and projectors lit up the Ballroom Entrance with photos of the hotel from the past 80 years.
